Beamish The Living Museum of the North

Beamish Museum is an open-air museum located at Beamish, near the town of Stanley, in County Durham, England. The museum's guiding principle is to preserve an example of everyday life in urban and rural North East England at the climax of industrialisation in the early 20th century.

Built at the Boavista Works of the Oporto Tramways Company in Portugal, the tram was brought to Beamish in 1989.

Constructed in 1901 for use on the Marton route, it was extended in 1918 as part of a rebuild. After serving the Blackpool tramway for several decades, it was transferred to Beamish in 1984 for restoration, entering service in 1988.
